Question : Is it possible to make curved surfaces using LEGO elements?
Answered by : Allen Demers, LEGO Model Designer

You can take advantage of the tolerances allowed in molding LEGO bricks to make some interesting design tricks. For example, if you build an interlocking wall of 1x2 bricks, about 4 or 5 bricks tall and about 96 studs long, the wall will curve or flex over the distance. This is possible because the of slight tolerance built into each brick.
